Included in the seed portfolio are:

  • The MoD Headquarters, London
  • Abbotsford Hospital in British Columbia, Canada
  • The Metropolitan Police firearms and public order training centre in Gravesend, England
  • The M40 Motorway in England

JLIF intends to use the proceeds of the IPO to acquire a seed portfolio of 19 investments in infrastructure projects from the John Laing group, which are independently valued at £260m.

The portfolio provides geographic diversification in countries which are regarded as fiscally strong and are committed to PFI/PPP projects. The portfolio includes projects in:

  •  health, schools, justice and emergency services, roads, regeneration, defence and street  lighting sectors
  •  the UK, Canada and Finland

Projects in the seed portfolio are operational and supported by contracted government-backed revenue streams, which are inflation-linked and have a weighted average remaining contracted life of 21.87 years.

Included in the seed portfolio are:

  •  The MoD Headquarters, London
  •  Abbotsford Hospital in British Columbia, Canada
  •  The Metropolitan Police firearms and public order training centre in Gravesend, England
  •  The M40 Motorway in England

In addition to the seed portfolio JLIF has a strong pipeline of acquisition opportunities as it will have a contractual right of first offer to acquire  certain investments made available by John Laing for the next four years. Within the next three years 17 further projects worth approximately £325 million in total are expected to become available. All of these projects are expected to meet the JLIF investment criteria.
